'The Road That Led Us Here' is Vermillion Skye's seventh studio album released in 2023 and is our most progressive to date. The album's title track refers to how all the good and bad events from our past have inevitably shaped us and led us to our present state, sometimes for the better. Stand out tracks in addition to the title track include "Go On Get Up" (a song in 15/8), "What Are You Waiting For", and "Yolo". There are lots of progressive time signatures found within. One tune: "Spider and Fly" contains 4/4, 5/8, 7/8, 9/8, 13/8, and even 17/8. Like previous albums, there are hints of Saga, Styx, and Genesis but it is uniquely Vermillion Skye.
